tions after the Abu Daoud
affair.
The Elysee spokesman
said the meeting was de-
voted "to an examination
of peaceful solutions to
the Middle East conflict"
but Israeli sources said
the Daoud affair was dis-
cussed.
France and Israel al-
ready seem on the way to
a near normalization of
their ties. French and Is-
raeli experts are expected
to start reviewing the
Franco-Israeli extradi-
tion agreement before
the end of the month.
Meanwhile, Israel and
France jointly have agreed .
to postpone French
Foreign Minister Louis de
Guiringaud's forthcoming
trip to Israel by one month:
Israeli Foreign Minister
Yigal Allon and de Guirin-
gaud, who met last week in
Bnissels, decided that the
trip originally scheduled
for Feb. 27 will take place
fill March 30.
Though neither side of-
ficially commented on
this decision it was obvi-
ously taken as an Addi-
tional proof of Israel's
dissatisfaction with
France's release of
Daoud. De Guiringaud
and Allon met for more
than an hour after Allon
signed Israel's financial
agreement with the
European Economic
Community (EEC).
The Israeli minister
also held separate talks
at his hotel with the
Foreign Ministers of Hol-
land, Belgium, Denmark,
West Germany, Britain,
Ireland and Italy.

Hit Dao,ud Release
NEW YORK — Fr-
ance's release of Arab
terrorist Abu Daoud was
unanimously denounced
by the 43 of the nation's
50 largest circulation
newspapers that com-
mented editorially on the
subject, according to an
Anti-Defamation League
of Bnai Brith survey.
In announcing the find-
ings, Arnold Forster,
ADL's general counsel,
pointed out. that "news-
papers repreSenting var-
ying political views and
opinions on the Middle
East conflict agreed that
France had acted shame-
fully and had capitulated
to Arab political and
economic pressures."
There was widespread
concern among the news-
papers that France's re-
lease of Abu Daoud would
severely weaken interna-
tional efforts to combat
terrorism and, as some of
the papers stated, would
in - fact serve as an open
Bountiful Rains

rorism. With scattered
exceptions, the vast
majority of the papers re-
garded the incident as
one of global significance.
A sampling of smaller
papers showed the same
results. The survey ad-
ded, "Even the pro-Arab
ChriStian Science
Monitor criticized Fr-
ance's handling Of the
Daoud affair," stating Is-
rael was "rightly" indig-
nant over the speed with
which the terrorist was
allowed to go to Algeria.

Target of Bombings
BUENOS AIRESVTA)
— Dr. Nehemias Re-
snizky, president of
DAIA, reported here that
two bombing incidents
occurred last month.
One, he said, was
against a Jewish installa-
tion in Buenos Aires, 4.he

The other was a powerful
explosion in front of a
cinema in Cordoba where
"Victory at Entebbe" was
being shown.
He also reported that
DAIA has conveyed to
the government its con-
cern about the continuing
exhibition of Nazi litera-

which specializes in
Spanish translations of
