The statements are
being distributed to the
JCC's 180 constituent
synagogues and organi-
zations in the Greater
Washington area.
The JCC statement
"deplores Breira's meth-
odology and platform as
enunciated by its leading
spokesman, which calls
for inclusion of the ter-
rorist PLO iffliegotia-
tions without pre-
conditions, for restriction
of Israel to the 1967 bog-
ders and for a Palestinian
state."
The Jewish Defense
League said in New York
that it had declared war
on Breira.
The other document
being distributed by the
JC• is a summary of a
statement by the Na-
tional Jewish Community
Relations, Advisory
Council (NJCRAC) on the
American Fri-ends Ser=
vice Committee confer-
ence at which PLO rep-_,
resentatives are expected
to speak. Another ex-
pected speaker is former
Israeli Gen. Matityahu
(Matti) Peled.

The only remaining syn-
agogue in Warsaw, which
was in poor condition last
year, has begun to be re-
paired but still has a long
way to go before it is en-
tirely restored, it was re-
ported by Ira Lipsius,
leader of the Yavneh
Holocaust Tour which re-
cently visited several
East European countries.
The synagogue does not
have a shofar for use on
Rosh Hashana.
Lipsius, writing in the
latest issue of the Center

He reported that some
changes have taken place
at the Gisha Cemetery,

Deficit Down

JERUSALEM — An
unprecedented increase
in exports cut Israel's
trade deficit by nearly 25
percent in 1976, Al-
together, the. deficit is
down by more than $570
million, representing a
substantial improvement
in _the balance-of-trade.
igher oil prices are
if
