2 1-pound cans grapefruit sec-
tions
Grapefruit IL/ice
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup shredded carrots
2/3 cups diced celery
1 cup yogurt
Drain grapefruit sections; reserve.
Add grapefruit juice to syrup to
make 3 cups. Sprinkle gelatin
over 1 cup of the liquid in sauce-
pan to soften. Place over low heat,
stirring constantly, until gelatin is
dissolved. Remove from heat. Add
remaining 2 cups grapefruit liq-
uid and salt. Chill to consistency
of unbeaten egg whites. Fold in
drained grapefruit sections,
shredded carrots, celery, and
yogurt. Turn into 6-cup mold and
chill until firm. Yield: 6 servings.

1 3-oz. package chocolate pud-
ding and pie filling
1 tbsp. unflavored gelatin
2 tsp. instant coffee
2 eggs, separated
2 1/2 cups milk
1 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup vanilla-flavored yogurt
In a saucepan, combine pudding,
gelatin, coffee, and egg yolks. Stir
in milk. Set over medium heat.
and cook until mixture comes to a
boil and thickens. Cool. Whirl cot-
tage cheese in blender. Add to
gelatin mixture and beat in. Re-
frigerate until mixture mounds on
a spoon. Beat egg whites until
frothy. Gradually add sugar to
egg whites, beating until peaks
form. Fold into gelatin mixture.
Fold in yogurt. Pour mixture into
greased 6-cup ring mold. Chill
until firm. Yield: 8 servings.

Detroiter to Lead
Israel Settlement

A group of Americans,
led by Beth Frumkin of
the local Israel Aliya
Center, will make aliya in
September and will form
their own settlement,
Garin Netzanim, at the
site of Kibutz Bar Am
near the Lebanese bor-
der.
Regional and national
meetings are held for po-
tential members of the
garin. The next regional
meeting will be held Dec.
18 and 19 in Detroit. For
