Denounces RZA

NEW YORK (JTA) —
Rabbi Meir Kahane,
founder of the Jewish De-
fense League, denounced
the Religious Zionists of
America for refusing to
accept his membership in
the organization

He said he would seek a
Din Torah ruling and if
the RZA refused to accept
a favorable judgment he
would go to court. Rabbi
Louis Bernstein, presi-
dent of the RZA, refused
to comment on Kahane's
charge.

Plans Dessert Luncheon Program

The Women's Division
of the 1977 Allied Jewish
Campaign-Israel
Emergency Fund will
hold a dessert luncheon
meeting 12:30 p.m. Tues-
day in the Franklin home
of Mrs. Malcolm S. Low-
enstein.
The luncheon will ac-
quaint women in atten-
dance with the major
needs of Israel and indi-
cate the major problem
areas confronting Jews in
Detroit.

Principal speaker will
be Sylvia Hassenfeld,
chairman of the national
Women's Division of the
United Jewish Appeal.
She will speak on first-
hand observations of
poverty in Hungary,
Greece and Israel derived
from a recent Women's
Mission to those coun-
tries sponsored by the
United Jewish Appeal.
Mrs. Hassenfeld has
been chairman and presi-
dent of the Federation in
Providence, R. I., where
she is a member of the
Medical Resources Com-
mittee of Brown Univer-
sity and serves on the
board of the United Fund.

Need a quick supper?
Did you forget to defrost
something? Here is an in-
stant solution (or almost
instant). It takes just 20
minutes to cook. While it
is in the oven, heat up a
can of baked beans for a
side dish.

1 lb. hot dogs (10 to a package)
cup pickle juice
1 tsp. brown sugar
one-third cup chili sauce
1 small onion, diced
1 small green pepper, diced
2 pickles, diced

Prick hot dogs a few times with
a fork. Place in a shallow baking
pan. Mix pickle juice, sugar and
chili -sauce. Pour over hot dogs.
Pour chopped vegetables into
pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20
minutes. Serves 5.
