FOR OAKLAND COUNTY COMMISSIONER

Residents of District 20
Southfield — Lathrup Village

Rabbi Yitschak Kagan, left, s shown greeting Rabbi
Yitzchok M. Lipszyc and his family upon their return
from a tour of Michigan's Upper Peninsula in a Sukka-
Mobile.

"Nearly everyone talks about representation of homeowners and taxpayers in government, civic responsibilities,
and improvement of the quality of life in Southfield and Lathrup Village, but precious few ever take up these various
causes and try to do something about them. So when someone like Maynard Feldman comes along as a candidate for
public office, it is not only refreshing, but it is also incumbent upon us to give him our support. Maynard Feldman has
been the spokesman for homeowners in his area on vital city, county and school board issues for nearly 10 years.
Among his accomplishments is the role he played in preventing the development of undesirable strip shopping, high
density apartment dwellings and office buildings. Maynard Feldman has promoted efforts to improve the.quality of
life in Southfield, from school issues to beautification to the development of recreation facilities. His involvement in
behalf of Southfield homeowners is evidenced by his many accomplishments. Maynard Feldman has gotten things
done as a private citizen. Think, now, how much more effective he can be as the elected representative for Southfield
and Lathrup Village. I heartily endorse his candidacy and urge all residents of Oakland County's 20th District to give
him their support on November 2nd."

DOUGLAS HARRIS

Former Board Member
Tanglewood Homeowners Association

BECAUSE

: "Mr. Feldman has contributed in many signifcant ways to the well-being
of his community and the County of Oakland. He demonstrates considerable insight into
the fiscal and administrative problems of local and county governments. His interaction
with large numbers of individuals and organizations has given him rare insight into the
needs and concerns of the homeowner, the businessmen, the senior citizen and our school
systems. I consider it a privilege to urge your support for the office of County Commission,
:the 20th District) for your friend and neighbor, Maynard Feldman."

LOUIS L. FRIEDLAND, Ph.D.

Professor Public Management
and AdministrationT-

BECAUSE

: "Of his integrity and concern for improving the
quality of life of the community. He expresses his concern by
things that will improve our community life, and' would be an
asset for the Oakland community.

BECAUSE:

"Of his honesty, sincerity, *nte.gr y ond dedi-
cation. We need men like him to help re-establish 'le credibility
in government and the democratic way of life."

CANTOR SIMON BERMANIS

Congregation Beth Achim

BECAUSE

: "The news that a man of honor and complete
honesty is entering the political arena gives me renewed faith
that our democratic system will survive. Maynard Felman's skills,
candor and accomplishment speak for themselves."

BECAUSE:

"As was within his ability, and
largely through his efforts; - he derived great pleasure
creating holiday cheer through festive atmosphere to
the residents of the Sara Fisher Home, The Jewish
Home For The Aged, Receiving Hospital (now Detroit
General) and such organizations. Never have I known
Maynard's integrity to be questioned."

JOHN A. SILLS

The Art Products Co.

BECAUSE

: "Maynard is one of the few people I
would hold in high esteem particularly for his initiative
and integrity. His honesty and sincerity stand out in a
materialistic world. He takes a deep personal sense of
pride in doing a good job regardless of the size of the
project.
