Walter and Regina Litt
will be honored at a Beth
Moses-Israel Bond Tri-
bute Dinner Oct. 13 at
Cong. Beth Moses.
On the occasion of their
50th wedding anniver-
sary, in lieu of gifts, the
couple raised several
thodsand dollars for a
soldiers' rest home built
by the Association for
Welfare of Soldiers in Is-
rael.
Twice in their married
life they became foster
parents to orphans.
Harry Wald, now a vice
president of Caesar'S
Palace in Las Vegas,
came to them as a 12-
year-old boy from -Hol-
land, and lived with the
family until he joined the
U.S. Army during World
War II. After the war, a
Holocaust-orphaned,
G
young man from Ger-
many, Walter Cykiert,
found a home with them
for seven years, until he
married and established
his own home in Birmin-
gham.
The Litts have three
children: daughters
Norma Harwood and Mar-
ion Schulman, and son
if Ray, who is vice president
of his parents' firm, the
Litt Electric Co. of De-
troit. They have 11 grand-
children.
The Litts have worked
together 39 years in
building their business,
established during the
depression years.
They both are members
of Odessa Progressive Aid
Society; he a past vice
president, she a past
chairman of many char-
ity luncheons. They are
supporters of the Histad-
i rut, as well as Pioneer
Women and Hadassah.
The Litts sang with the
i Detioit Jewish Folk
Chorus for 30 years. Litt
