Human Service Agency
will be at the Oak Park
Senior Citizens Activity
Center Oct. 7 to take pic-
tures of all people living
in Oakland County over
age 60, for a county wide
discount identification
.card.
The hours of picture
taking will be from 10
a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.
Advahce registration is
preferred and an applica-
tion card may be filled out
any week day at the
Senior Center.
Bus transportation for
Oak Park residents is av-
ailable at a nominal
charge. For information,
call the parks and recrea-
tion office; 541-0900. •

sional staff to render a
variety of services," he
said. "New group therapy
rooms have been built
and a child therapy room
has been installed, and
there are individual in-
terviewing offices for
over 30 professional
casework staff, who see
families and individuals
for counseling and
psychotherapy."
Mrs. Joseph H. Jackier,
chairman of the meeting,
commended the individu-
als in the community who
generously gave of their
funds and time and.
energy to raise funds for
the renovation. A wall
plaque is being installed
and a booklet prepared to
recognize the major con-
tributors.
Miss Clarice Freud, pro-
fessor emeritus of the
University of Michigan
School of Social Work, was
guest speaker. She re-
minisced about the early
history of the agency, re-
called the time in 1941-44
when she was the director
of the Jewish Children's
Bureau, which merged in
1944 with the Jewish So-
cial Service Bureau.
The agency changed its
name to Jewish Family
and Children's Service in
1957 and then to the
Jewish Family. Service in
1975.
