Detroiter in Israel
Earns Ordination

Former Detroiter Mic-
key Shur has received his
ordination from the Dias-
pora Yeshiva in
Jerusalem.
The son of Mr. and Mrs.
Nathan Shur of Detroit,
Rabbi (Moshe) Shur
earned a bachelor's de-
gree from Columbia Uni-
versity and a bachelor of
Hebrew literature degree
from the Jewish Theolog-
ical Seminary. He has a
master's degree in Near
Eastern studies from the
University of Michigan
and a JD degree from
Wayne State University.
Rabbi Shur and
Shoshana Ziman, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Geof-
frey Ziman of Palo Alto,
Calif., were married re-
cently on Mt. Zion in
Jerusalem.
