Cooper Anniversary Marked With Planting of Israel Grove

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer
Cooper, longtime leaders in
many Jewish causes, have
been honored by their chil-
dren, Jack and Lillian Perl-
man, Myron and Jacqueline
Milgrom and Louis and
Thelma Milgrom with the
planting of a grove of 1,000

Cooper has been active
in JNF for many years and

Lodge of Bnai Brith, an ac-
tive member of Shaarey
Zedek, Zionist Organization
of Detroit Knights of Py-
thias and Hadassah Asso-
ciates. He also is a member

Yehudah and Town and
Country Club. Cooper is a
Canadian army veteran of
World War I.

JNF Will Honor
School Graduates

The Jewish National
Fund will plant a tree in Is-
rael in honor of each of the
graduates, confirmands and
consecrants of all Hebrew
schools, day schools, and
synagogue and temple
schools, announces Mark E.
Schlussel, president of JNF,
and Percy Kaplan, executive
director. A tree certificate
will be presented to the
students as a gift from JNF.
JNF has asked school,
synagogue and temple offi-
cials to provide, as soon as
possible, the names and ad-
dresses of the graduates,
confirmands and conse-
crants, and the dates of the
official ceremonies.
