Jewish Women's Unit to Install
Sheila Ordin as Its President
Sheila Ordin will be in-
stalled as president of the
League of Jewish Women's
Organizations of Greater
Detroit at its annual instal-
lation noon Thursday at
Cong. Bnai Moshe. Petite
brunch will be served by the
sisterhood.
Other officers to be in-
stalled include: Lorraine
World With Song," pre-
sented by Marge Ruby. Mrs.
Shifman is installing offi-
cer, and Mrs. Boris Tobes,
president of the Bnai Moshe
Sisterhood, will deliver the
invocation. Friends are in-
vited.

Leigh, to Steven Bruce Katz,

Katz of Oak Park.
Miss Goldstein is a gradu-
ate of Wayne State Univer-
sity. Her fiance is pursuing
a graduate degree at the
University of Michigan.
An August wedding is
planned.

engagement of their daugh-
ter, Trudy Ruth, to Howard
Brian Jacobson, son of Mrs.
Alvin Jacobson of Canter-
bury Ave., Pontiac, and the
late Mr. Alvin Jacobson.
Miss Balkin is a senior at
Michigan State University.
Her fiance is a senior at the
University of Michigan and
plans to attend law school in
the fall.
A September wedding is
planned.

Hadassah Donor Brunch and Election
Slated for Shaarey Zedek on June 1
The 6,500-member Metro-
politan Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will hold its do-
nor brunch and election and
installation of officers June
1 at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
The events will follow each
other at 11 a.m. and 12:30
p.m. at the synagogue.
The donor brunch, by in-
vitation only, is for those
members who have accumu-
lated, or contributed $100 or
more, over and above their
membership dues during
the past year.
