Center Dedication
Date Announced

Northern Michigan Uni-
versity will dedicate its new
$4.9 million Sam M. Coho-
das Administrative Center
May•22.
Cohodas, who lives in Ish-
peming, is a philanthropist
and banker who has forged
successful careers in the
produce industry as well as
in finance. He is chairman
of the board of the Michigan
Financial Corp. which is
headquartered in Mar-
quette.
Completion and occu-
pancy of the facility last
July brought under one
roof all administrative op-
erations of the university
which had been scattered
throughout six buildings
on campus.
The lowest level of the
Cohodas Administrative
Center houses the computer
and data processing func-
tions. The street level, or
first story, consists of a
lobby and those business
functions which have a high
volume of student contact.
The remaining five levels
contain general office areas
