The group will visit sev-
eral of the 1,500 Pioneer
Women installations which
provide 60 percent of all so-
cial services for women and
children in Israel. These in-
clude child-care centers, ac-
ademic and vocational
schools, Arab women clubs
and immigrant absorption
centers.
Special highlights will
include a visit to the Knes-
set, to be followed by a re-
ception at the home of Israel
President Ephraim Katzir;
a visit to Ben-Gurion Uni-
versity in Beersheva, where
a new chair for Women's
Studies has been estab-
lished by Pioneer Women;
the dedication of the Pi-
oneer Women Beba Idelson
World Center in Tel Aviv
and a celebration of Israel
Independence Day in Jeru-
salem.

in its annual cannister drive
on May 9, 10 and 11 for
World Jewish Child's Day.
The money is used to help
integrate immigrant chil-
dren into Israeli life and to
provide the social services
that they need.
Mina Herman is coordina-
tor of the project. Dorothy
Tendler is vice president of
funds and Ruth Miller is
Council president.
The chairmen for each

cently came my way is clev-
erly titled, "Everyone ORT
to Cook" published by the
Schenectady, N.Y. chapter
of Women's American ORT.
The book gives a good guide
to use of herbs as well as
menu suggestions plus help-
ful hints for the home-
maker. It is not a kosher
cookbook but does contain
some Jewish favorites. If

1 head cauliflower, broken up
1 or 2 cans mushroom caps,
drained
4 carrots, sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced
1 red onion, sliced .
1 can black olives
1 cup oil
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tsp. basil
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsps. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Mix all ingredients except on-
ion. Marinate 3 days. On third
day add onion and toss.

1. pound sweet butter
1/2 pound cream cheese
3 tablespoons sour cream
3 'Y2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pound jar Ann Page
Pure Orange marmalade
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Cream butter and cream
cheese together. Add flour. Add
sour cream, sugar and salt.
Knead into a dough and refriger-
ate for several hours until firm.
Roll into nine-inch circles, using
about 1/6 of the dough for each
circle. Combine marmalade and

chopped walnuts; spread on a/4
ties. Cut each circle into eight
wedge-shaped sections. Roll eaciii
wedge, starting from the large
end and ending with the point.
Curve to form a crescent, placing
open end down on a buttered
baking sheet. Bake at 375° F. for
15 minutes, or until browned.
