Youth Awards
Program Due

The League of Jewish
Women's Organizations will
honor exemplary Jewish
youth at an awards pro-
gram 2 p.m. Sunday at Tem-
ple Israel.
Nominees, their families
and sponsoring organiza-
tions also will be cited.
Special awards will be
awarded to nominees who
excel in a specific category.
Judges include District
Court Judge Norman Feder,
Mrs. Sylvia Zukin, Mrs. Joel
Tauber, Leonard Baruch,
Edward Lumberg and Mrs.
Eleanor Keyes.
Theme for the program
will be "Youth '76
Spirit of the Future."
David Hermelin, com-
munal leader, will speak.
Chairing the event are
Mrs. Norman R. Schakne
and Mrs. Harold Podolsky.
Mrs. Leo D. Ordin is presi-

for USY Officials

Cong. Beth Achim's La-
hav United Synagogue
Youth group will host an
oneg Shabat in honor of the
executive board of Central
Region USY 9 p.m. today in
the home of Pam Lippitt,
27150 Devonshire, South-
field.
The executive board is
holding its first meeting in
Detroit. The groups will at-
tend 9:45 a.m. Shabat serv-
ices Satudray in the syn-
agogue.
Local members of the
board include Ricky Schos-
tak, vice president, South-
field; Molly Fisher, secre-
tary, Kalamazoo; and Pam
Lippitt, secretary, South-
field.

program and cancer and
heart research.
The bazaar will feature
foods, games, clothing, a
country store, furniture,
Ye Olde Art Shoppe, Linen
Closet, green thumb booth,
toys, books, records,
sports equipment, penny
parade, handicrafts, an-
tiques, "white elephant"
items, Israel display and
public relations booth and
commercial exhibits.
Tickets are available
through chapter members
and at the door. Children
under 12 will be admitted
free if accompanied by an
