the Hebrew Benevolent So-
ciety. He also is a member
of Bnai Brith, Histadrut
and is a patron of Bar-Ilan
University in Ramat - ,Gan,
Israel.
The Nosanchuks estab-
lished two groves of 1,000
trees each in a Jewish
National Fund forest and
endowed a room in the
United Old Age Home in
Jerusalem.
Nosanchuk was recently
elected honorary president
of the Koilel Institute for
Advanced Learning .during
its merger with Cong. Bnai
Jacob.

ple a career. University
students selected for Project
JOIN will be placed as sum-
mer interns in several Jew-
ish communal agencies
throughout the metropoli-
tan Detroit area.

Contest Winners
The 10-week internships
may be in the areas of social
work, teaching, health pro-
fessions, program develop-
ment, social planning, com-
munity relations or other
agency concerns. Ii terns
also participate in a weekly
educational prograM con-
centrating on the structure
of the Jewish community.
Interns will be paid a tax-
free stipend.
This is the third year of
operation for this special

Hanuka party 7:30 p.m.

The contest awards were
provided by Mr. and Mrs.
David Silver who have been
active in Jewish communal
