successful completion of its
recent offering in Israel of 2
million ordinary shares at
an issue price of IL. 43
($6.89). The new shares will
be entitled to half of any
cash dividend declared for
175.

The pre-kindergartens
are similar to the Head
Start program in the U.S.,
and are described as essen-
tial by Philip Zinman, presi-
dent of the Israel Education
Fund, to integrate Oriental
Jews and Russian immi-
grants into the life of the
country.

The fund has completed
294 buildings, and will
have a total of 465 either
completed or under con-
struction within the next
year. The fund concen-
trates on buildings which
the Israeli government is
not required to provide,
including comprehensive
(vocational) high schools.

More than 240 donors
have pledged $64.7 million
to finance the program.
