Like to try a new flavor
for brownies? Try this re-
cipe, which will appeal to
the kiddies but also has
something special for the
adults.

With the approach of
summer, we become more
weight conscious and seek
out light foods. Flounder
and similar white, firm-
fleshed fish are lower in ca-
lories than most proteins.

2 tbsps. margarine
cup chopped onion
cup chopped green pepper
I lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 lb. can tomatoes, drained
2 tbsps. lemon juice
1 , tsp. dried leaf tarragon
1 bay leaf
4 tsp. pepper sauce
(optional)
2 tsp. salt
1 lb. flounder filet

Melt margarine in a large skil-
let; add onion and green pepper.
Cook until tender. Add mush-
rooms. Cook 3 minutes. Add toma-
toes, lemon juice, tarragon, bay
leaf, pepper sauce and salt. Cover.
Simmer 20 minutes, then add
flounder and cover. Simer 10 min-
utes or until fish flakes easily
when tested with a fork. Serves
four.

Open Sunday 12 to 4

1/2 stick margarine
3 /4 cup sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 eggs
1 tsp. rum flavor
1 oz. unsweetened choco-
late
1 cup sifted flour
1 /2 tsp. baking powder
1 /2 tsp. salt
1 /2 cup butterscotch flavor
chips or chocolate
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
