To be unsyngogued means
to regard one's Jewishness
as a burden of birth; to be
saddled with a crushing
handicap for life; to knoW
only the liabilities of being a
Jew iwhtout any of the as-
sets; to know that it is tough
to be a Jew and not to know
how privileged it is to be a
Jew.
