Seminary Names
'Ambassador' Head
NEW YORK — George
M. Levine, of Columbus,
Ohio was named chairman
of the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America am-
bassadors group. Levine
succeeds William Blanks-
teen, who has served in that
position for the past 10
years.
The ambassadors group,
now in its 11th year, is a
part of the Seminary's
board of overseers, a na-
tional advisory body, and
serves as its educational
arm. It conducts seminars
and workshops - timed to
coincide with each meeting
of the board.
Its purpose is to acquaint
the board membership with
the inner workings of the in-
stitution and its many de-
partments. Its members
then serve as Seminary
"ambassadors" to the com-
munity-at-large.

Hotel here.
The meeting, which will
bring together representa-
tives of AJC's 81 chapters
and units throughout the
United States, was planned
by a committee under the
chairmanship of Miles
Jaffe, Detroit attorney and
adjunct professor at Wayne
State University Law
School.
.Together with planning
committees of AJC leaders
from across the country, he
has developed a roster of

Homes; and Vernon E. Jor-
dan, Jr., executive director
of the National Urban
League.
The formal opening of
the four-day meeting will
be preceded by meetings of
