When this hand-crafted Hnuka memora is used in Bang-
kok as part of the Jewish Welfare Board's "Operation Ha-
nuka," the memory of Jewish Chaplain David M. Sobel
(USAF) will be recalled and rekindled. Chaplain Sobel,
who had served as Jewish chaplain for military personnel
in Thailand, was killed in an accident in the line of duty,
and this Hanuka menora was presented to the Bangkok
Jewish congregation in his memory. Shown are, from left,
