David Schoenbrun, noted
radio and television journal-
ist, will speak at an Israel
Bond dinner honoring Dr.

Schoenbrun, longtime chief
correspondent for CBS News,
has been a frequent visitor
to the Middle East since 1946.
Before Israel's establishment,
he was one of the first Amer-
ican correspondents to report
on Jewish resistance to the
British Mandate in Palestine.
During 1948, • millions of
Americans heard his ac-
counts of Israel's War of In-
dependence over the CBS
radio network.
Schoenbrun has won'inajor
