Harold R o b b i n s' "The

American Jews
in Double Crisis
Scholar States

JERUSALEM (Z I N S) —
"The American Jew finds
himself in a double-edged
crisis; the crisis in Ameri-
can society of which he is an
integral part, and a crisis
which is distinctively Jew-
ish."
This is the essence of an
article entitled "Judaism and
Americanism" by talmudic
authority, Rabbi Y. D. Solo-
veitchik, - which appeared in
the journal "Turai Yeshur-
un."
According to Rabbi Solo-
veitchik, should there be an
a n t i-Semitic outbreak in
America similar in magni-
tude to that of Nazi Germany,
then there would be no
security even in the Jewish
state. The rabbi, adds how-
ever, that he does not believe
such an eventuality is pos-
sible.
