The artist's inspiration is
derived from Judaic themes
from biblical to recent times,
Hebrew calligraphy and
oriental and primitive art.
Her work is best described
by Rabbi Reuben Levine, an
authority on religious art and
consultant to the artist, who-
has made this comment:
"The language of religion
goes beyond the word. It is
song and poetry, thought and
feeling. But along with these
it is also color, form, visual
harmonies, a sense of sacred
Presence. These latter ele-

ments are the ones which
Ina Golub has taken as her
creative province. Universal
and timeless Jewish con-
cepts are expressed in con-
temporary terms on her loom
and drawing board, only to
take flight and find exciting
new meaning in the eyes,
heart, and mind of the be-
holder."

tries are woven primarily in
wool and linen in traditional
French tapestry techniques.
Some handwoven pieces
often incorporate finer
threads such as silks, rayons,
cotton and metallics.

NEW •YORK — The Israel
Family Counseling Associa-
tion reported an increased
number of clients during
1973, it was reported by
Mrs. Leah Fuerst, director
of the clinic, recently at the
opening of the association's
new counseling clinic in Tel
Aviv.
The increase in the num-
ber of requests for counsel-
ing which forced the family
counseling association to ex-
pand its quarters and in-
crease its staff represents an
increase in the number of
people seeking professional
help when these problems
arise.
The new clinic was made
possible by a grant from the
National Council of Jewish
Women of Canada. The as-
sociation, the only one of its
kind in Israel, receives an-
nual grants from Malben, the
Joint Distribution Committee
program in Israel, and re-
ceives financial support from
the government and from Ku-
pat Holim, the health insur-
ance plan of Histadrut.
The association is affiliat-
ed with the Tel Aviv Univer-
sity school 'of social work.
