Rose Kaufman to Address Lunch
for Pioneer Women Installation

Mrs. Rose Kaufman, past
national president of Pioneer
Women, will be guest speaker
at the Greater Detroit Coun-
cil's installation luncheon
noon Thursday at the Labor
Zionist Institute. She will
speak on "A New Resident
Looks at Israel."
Mrs. Kaufman, who made
aliya in November 1971, is
the chairman of the perpet-
ual scholarship fund of Pio-
neer Women-Moetzet Hapoa-
lot. She also was a national
vice president of the Jewish
National Fund and Histadrut.
An active participant in
Cleveland Jewish communal
affairs, she has a 10,000-tree
forest named for her in Is-
rael by the Cleveland Wo-
men's Division of the Jewish
National Fund.
She visited Pioneer Women
installations in Paris, Brus-
sels and London, and while
attending the world confer-
ence of Pioneer Women in
1965, she spent two months
in Israel reviewing the social
services organization which
provides for women and chil-
dren.
