their daughter Ilyse Marcy to
Abraham Gontovnik, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Shaul Gontov-
nik of Kiryat Matzkin, Israel.
Miss Simon is a senior at
Wayne State University ma-
joring in dietetics. Her fiance
is an electrical engineering
major at Lawrence Institute
of Technology. A June wed-
ding is planned.

mony at Temple Beth El.
Rabbi Richard C. Hertz of-
ficiated.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Sosin
of Capitol Dr., Southfield.
Parents of the bridegroom
are Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Mc-
Cracken of La Jolla, Calif.,
and the late Mr. Joseph
Rosenberg.
Debra Sosin was her sis-
ter's maid of honor and
Nancy Sosin was matron of
honor. Neil Sosin was best
man, and Marc Manger was
an usher.
The couple is living in Los
Angeles.

Mr. and Mrs. Irving Robin-
son, former Detroiters of
Plantation, Fla., announce
the engagement of their
daughter Dorothy Charlotte
to Robert Milton Hack, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Hack of Hunter's Dr., Fam-
ington Hills.
Miss Robinson was grad-
uated from Wayne State Uni-
versity's college of education
where she earned a masters
degree in guidance and coun-
seling.
A June wedding is planned.

Collen of Ludlow Ave., Oak
Park, announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Joan
to Fred F. Fischer, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Philipp Fischer
of Gardner Ave., Oak Park.
Miss Collen was graduated
from Wayne State Univer-
sity's college of education.
Her fiance earned a BS de-
gree at Wayne State and will
attend the University of De-
troit's school of dentistry in

Hadassah to Honor Life Members
and Associates at Adat' Shalom

Metropolitan Detroit Chap-
ter of Hadassah is planning a
special evening to honor life
;members and associates 8
p.m. April. 24 at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
Mrs. Karel Bass, chapter
membership vice president,
said Mrs. Moses Epstein,
twice a national president of
Hadassah, will share the
program with local physi-
cians Drs. Eli Brown and
Richard Kamil, both of whom
have given a month of ser-
vice to the Hadassah Medi-
cal Center in Jerusalem.
The (present life member-
ship fee guarantees continu-
ity of membership and per-
mits long-range planning by
Hadassah for support of
various medical disciplines
selected by the national
board. Haddassah Associates
is a one-time for-men-only
affiliation payment.
From time to time, Hadas-
sah Associates select a life-
saving adjunct of the Hadas-
sah-Hebrew University Medi-
cal Center which they sup-
port. The current project is
the intensive coronary care
unit; previously it was the
trauma unit.
Working with .Mrs. Bass
are Mesdames Bert A. Smok-
ler, chapter associates chair-
man; Arthur Y. Winer, chap-
ter life membership; Leon,
and Stein and Victor Linden,
visual aids and table decora-
tion; and Ivan Meisne r,
publicity.
The planning committee
includes: Mesdames Jerome
Kaufman, chapter president,
Mark Saidman, chapter pro-
gram vice president; and
Ben Bonin, Norman Rosen-
feld, Sidney J. Winer, and
Jack W. Perlman. Working
with the committee are the
membership chairmen of the
18 Hadassah groups.
Joan Sofferin will be guest
artist. A social hour will
follow.
