NEW YORK (JTA) — A
mortgage fund of IL 50,000,000
(about $12,500,000) will be
made available this year for
Israeli soldiers, families of
men who fell during the Yom
Kippur War and veterans of
past wars, according to Yeru-
cham Meshel, acting secre-
tary-general of Histadrut.
Meshel stated that half the
sum would be raised by the
Israel Histadrut Foundation
in the U. S. and the other
half would be advanced by
the Israel Ministry of Fi-
nance.
Qualified Israeli families
will be able to get up to IL
50,000 ($12,500) mortgages at
low interest.
Meanwhile, Asher Yadlin,
director of Histadrut's medi-
cal service, said the 1974 bud-
get of Kupat Holim will reach
a record sum of IL 1,150,000,-
000 ($287,500,000), and it will
provide health services for
2,500,000 persons or 70 per-
cent of Israel's population.
Yadlin announced that Ku-
pat Holim would invest IL
1,000,000,000 during the next
eight years in new hospitals
and in expansion of existing
-ones, in order to double the
number of available beds.

GENOA—Police dismissed
a threat in leaflets which
warn that a Palestinian guer-
illa group has injected poison
into Israeli citrus fruit. The
leaflets were found in the
mail boxes of the city's cen-
tral post office. Officials said
that a grapefruit will go had
quickly if its skin is punc-
tured.
The message on the leaf-
lets read: Warning. Dozens
of people risk death by poi-
soning if they eat 'Israeli-
produced grapefruit. We have
injected toxic substances into
a shipment of grapefruit sold
in Genoa."

who flew to South Yemen af-
ter terrorist action in Sing-
