MIKES

Emir

There is faith and hope in Israel.
The museums, concert halls and theatres
are open.
The kibbutz children are laughing and
playing.
The sidewalk cafes are bustling.
The fishermen bring in their nets and the
farmers work the soil.
Our old people continue to believe.
Our young people still know about falling
in love.
We want you to come to Israel now to
show you how Israel lives.

SYNAGOGUE

NEW YORK — Survivors
of the Holocaust are calling
an all-day conference Sun-
day at the New York Hilton
because they believe that
"the world has shown the
same indifference to the
fundamental right of Israel
to live in peace and freedom
as the world showed in World
War II to the murder of in-
nocent Jews by the Nazis."
The conference is sponsored
by the American Federation
of Jewish Fighters, Camp
Inmates and Nazi Victims,
Inc.
Eli Zborowski, president
of the Survivors Federation,
said the gathering "will dis-
cuss the role and the ways
in which Jewish survivors
can remind all mankind that
the consequences of indiffer-
ence can lead to total mass
murder."
Ambassador Jacob Bar-
more of Israel's Mission to
the UN will address the con-
ference.
