N. Levi National Arthritis
Hospital, sponsored by the
Bnai Brith, will begin its
60th year of service in No-
vember.
The 89-bed health care
facility was opened Nov. 14,
1914, as Bnai Brith undertook
the mission to provide serv-
ice for indigent, sick tran-
sients and residents in the
world-famed resort where
thousands sought relief, if
not cure, from the thermal
waters of the spa.
Combining the use of
hydrotherapy with the latest
developments of medicine,
Levi Hospital continues to
serve the needs of patients
who suffer from the pain of
arthritis.
Individualized, personalized
therapy is administered un-
der the direction of staff
physicians by trained ther-
apists in a planned rehabili-
tative program utilizing
modern medical techniques
and equipment.
Clinical tests conducted in
the hospital's laboratory are
used for diagnosis and treat-
ment in coordination with
the work being done at the
University of Arkansas Med-
ical Center by Dr. Eleanor
Lipsmeyer, who occupies the
chair of rheumatology co-
sponsored by Levi Hospital.

Relations Award "as a living
tribute to one of the nation's
most noted and beloved
women."
To be given annually for
