Gerald Bubis to Address Agency Workers
Dr. Gerald B. Bubis, di-
rector of the Jewish Institute
of Religion—School of Jewish
Communal Service of Hebrew
Union College in Los Angeles,
will address the 23rd annual
professional staff institute of
the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, a day-long educational
forum for professional work-
ers of Jewish social agencies
to be held Oct. 26 at the Jew-
ish Center.
Dr. Bubis will speak on "A
Dynamic Look at Jewish
Identity and Family Life in
Modern America."
The institute will begin at
9:30 with the keynote address
and continue with four con-
current discussion groups led
by professional staff mem-
bers of the Federation's 16
local member agencies.
After a luncheon the final
session will include a sum-
mary by Prof. Bubis and a
closing statement by William
Avrunin, executive v i c e-
president of the sponsoring
Jewish Welfare Federation.
Dr. Morton Plotnick, asso-
ciate director of the Jewish
Center, is chairman of the
professional staff institute.
