JLC Blasts Nixon for Spending Cutbacks

A statement released here
yesterday by Judge Jacob T.
Zuckerman, president of the
JLC, decried the recent cut-
backs in social spending,
particularly the moratorium
on housing construction, the
cuts in Medicaid/Medicare
and education and the dis-
mantling of anti-poverty pro-
grams.
The statement expressed
strong opposition to "any
economic -4f.rategy or 'game
plan' which puts the burden
of the fight against inflation
on the shoulders of the poor
and working people."
