TEL AVIV (JTA) — A
young Israeli convicted of
consorting with the enemy
threatened in a Haifa district
court that the court and the
entire Israeli regime will one
day have to face trial just
as the Nazis did at Nurem-
berg.
The statement was made

by Ram Livneh, son of Com-
munist MK Avraham Leven-
braum, after he and co-de-
fendant Mali Lerman were
found guilty of having had
contacts with an El Fatah
agent.

NEW ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OF AMERICA BUILDING
IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN

NEW YORK — The Zionist
Organization of America has
purchased a five-story build-
ing in midtown Manhattan to
serve as national headquar-
ters for the 110,000-member
organization, Herman L.
Weisman of New York,
president of the ZOA, an-
nounced.
The ZOA has taken posses-
sion of the building, located
at 4 E. 34th St., and will
occupy it this fall after reno-
vations are completed, Weis-
man said.
Weisman said that the
building, to be known as the
ZOA House, "will be a na-

from Jacob and Libby Good-
man of New York. Goodman,
a ZOA leader for more than
four decades, is an honorary
vice president of the ZOA.
Upon completion of reno-
vations, Weisman said, it
will include an auditorium;
display and exhibit areas;
and board and meeting
rooms.

of terraces rising from the
wall to the Jewish quarter
was unveiled by its architect,
Moshe Safdie.
Presenting the plan to the
"J erus ale m Committee,"
composed of prominent pro-
fessionals from various coun-
tries and religions currently
meeting here, Safdie said the
terraces would provide a
sense of intimacy absent
from the preSent large plaza
for those praying at the wall
while at the same tripling'
the amount of space that
could be used for large gath-
erings. `qt should be a place
for the few and the many,"
he said.
Safdie proposed digging
down nine meters from the
prayer area in order to reach
Herodian level. This would
expose 13 more courses of
stones and increase the
height of the wall by 40 per
cent. From that point, a
series of narrowing terraces
would rise to the Jewish
quarter.
Reaction to the proposed
Safdie plan was strong and
mixed. Some saw the amphi-
theater solution as a thea-
trical approach.
Safdie said his plan would
be submitted to the H.:1!
