Lobsinger to Get
Fair Jury Trial,
Ravitz Promises

Recorder's Court Judge
Justin Ravitz promised mili-
tant right-wing activist Don-
Lobsinger that he would
a fair trial this week —
despite the fact that as, the
jury trial opened, Lobsinger
said he had as much chance
of a fair trial "as Christ had
before the Jewish high
priests."
Lobsinger, who has been
charged with assaulting a
priest at an antiwar demon-
stration, lost his fight to have
the case removed from Ra-
vitz' ,court. Federal District
Judge Damon Keith denied
Lobsinger's motion to have
the case heard in federal
court.
Earlier, Recorder's Court
Judge Susari Borman refused
to disqualify Ravitz and in-
stead praised his "profound
sense of honesty." At that
hearing, Lobsinger shouted
that Ravitz was "a Com-
munist and a traitor." He
added that Mrs. Borman was
"as much a traitor as he
(Ravitz) is."
Ravitz
countered
that
while he believes in the
doctrine of Marxism-Lenin-
ism, he is not a member of
the Communist Party. He
said that despite the ani-
mosity between himself and
the defendant, he feels he
could try the case fairly.
Before the case had reach=
ed Ravitz, two other Re-
corders Court judges had
disqualified themselves. Ra-
vitz refused to follow suit.

Car Breakdown
Leads to Twins

JERUSALEM — Mr. and
Mrs. Abed Husseini, who re-
cently became the parents
of twins, owe their happi-
ness to a doctor with a
stalled car.
Two years ago Husseini,
from Jatt village in the ad-
ministered• territories helped
Dr. Yehuda Marin of the
Sheba Hospital in Tel Hash-
omer start his stalled car.
Dr. Marin offered to pay
--uusseini, but the latter re-
ed. The doctor thanked
gum and offered him an in-
vitation to visit him .at the
hospital.
When Husseini discovered
that Dr. Marin was a phy-
sician, he asked him to visit
his wife who had been child-
less for the past six years.
Dr. Marin and an associate,
Prof. Edwin Rabau, discussed
the case and put Mrs. Hus-
seini under Prof. Rabau's
care.
In February Dr. Marin and
Prof. Rabau were invited by
the Husseini family to cele-
brate the birth of twins, a
son and a daughter. The pro-
fessor participated in the
Moslem circumcision cere-
mony.

'Students 18 and over who
get monthly social security
checks will soon be getting
an attendance reporting card
that has nothing to do with
how many classes they might
have cut, according to Sam
F. Test, manager of the
Detroit-Northwest Social Se-
curity office, 17500 Lahser.
A reporting card is mailed
by the Social Security Ad-
ministration to each student
beneficiary about three
months before the end of the
school year. The student
should return the card to
social security as soon as
possible, Test said.
Full-time students who are
18 and over and are unmar-
ried can get monthly checks
from social security until
they're 22 if a parent gets
social security payments or
if a parent has died after
working long enough under
social security.
If the student's school does
not use the semester or quar-
ter system, payments can
continue until he completes
the course he's taking or 2
months after he ,reached 22,
whichever comes first .
"More than 590,000 students
in colleges, high schools, and
trade schools get $65,000,000
a month from social secur-
ity," he added.
Any student who needs
help with the report or in-
formation about his benefits
can call the Detroit-North-
