Immigrant Rescue Fund is
Rabbi Moshe Feinstein. San-
der Kolitch, chairman of the
fund, stated that his commit-

Philip Marlowe. an em-
ploye of General Motors
Fisher Body Pontiac division
since 1936, has brought suit
against GM management on
charges of religious discrim-
ination. The case will be
heard Tuesday in U.S. Dis-
trict Court.
Marlowe, a Jew, said he
has kept a diary for the past
23 years in which he detailed
evidence of discriminatory
practices including "harass-
ment." "humiliation" a n d
"malicious gossip." lie
claims that management has
tried to fire him since 1960.
Marlowe, of Camden Sq.,
Southfield, first took his case
before the Michigan Civil
Rights Commission in May
1967. A consent decision was
reached, but GM immedi-
ately thereafter initiated dis-
criminatory practices again,
Marlowe charges.
A checking fixture builder
in the assembly layout de-
partment, he claims he was
denied promotions and his
income was limited. Further,
he alleges, he was the only
person in his department to
get disciplinary layoff for
