For the first time, Hadassab presented its annual Myrtle Wreath Awards for accom-
plishment to its own leaders. Previous recipients include Dr, James Bryant Conant
and Dr. Howard Rusk. The ceremony took place at a luncheon honoring 1,500 new
Itadassah life members at the New York Hilton Hotel.

wish Welfare Federation, will launch an attack on
conjunction with Chil- burns — the nation's third
largest accidental killer.

School, Lathrup Village, Nov.
27-Dec. 1.
Groundwork and dlrectien
for the program were super-
vised by Burton Farbmaa,
Henry WInemaa and Mrs.
Robert L. Levy in mows-
doe with Dr. James Lloyd,
head of the hospital burn
unit.
Among the various teach-
ing techniques are role play-
ing. worksheets and creative
activities. The entire program
was designed to increase
children's awareness of burn
hazards in an entertaining
yet enlightening way.
The program will be intro-
duced to the McIntyre School
children at a special assem-
bly 2:30 p.m. Nov. 27. Each
child will receive a packet of
information, including a fit-st-
aid sheet, a home-safety
check list, and stickers to
mark household trouble spots.
After the pilot program.
the creators will meet with
parents and teachers of the
students involved to deter-
mine the week's effective-
ness.
The junior division hopes to
introduce the program short-
ly to several more elementary
schools.
