Family Memorializes Irving Friedman

"Just say a grove of trees
is being established, in the
Jerusalem Peace Forest, and
there was a man — named
Irving Friedman — in whose
memory it is being planted,"
said Mrs. Helen Friedman,
donor of the JNF grove.

Mr. Friedman, who died in
spring 1971, was 'in the mer-
cantile business in Detroit
for many years.

Following his death, Mrs.
Friedman thought a grove
of trees "would be the most
fitting way to honor Mr.
Friedman's memory—me-

morialize him in a mean-
ingful way."
The Friedmans' daughter
Marjodir attends Wayne State
Univer,ity, and Karen is a
student at Michigan State
University. Mr. Friedman
also is snrvived by his I
mother, Mrs. Mary Fried-
man: a sister, Mrs. Nelson
Dembs, and two brothers,
Eli and Benjamin.
The Friedman family hopes
to visit Israel and participate
in the dedication ceremonies.
