Mr. Friedman, who died in spring 1971, was 'in the mer- cantile business in Detroit for many years. Following his death, Mrs. Friedman thought a grove of trees "would be the most fitting way to honor Mr. Friedman's memory—me- morialize him in a mean- ingful way." The Friedmans' daughter Marjodir attends Wayne State Univer,ity, and Karen is a student at Michigan State University. Mr. Friedman also is snrvived by his I mother, Mrs. Mary Fried- man: a sister, Mrs. Nelson Dembs, and two brothers, Eli and Benjamin.
