You won't be let down
when you take a trip out to
see Oscar Haab over the
weekend. tlaah's restaurant
CIS located at 18 W. Michigan
in downtown Ypsi, just a
short distance from 1-94.
The ride itself is a pleasant
one, but what is in store for
you makes the trip so much
more satisfying. Oscar and
his staff certainly go all out
to please their customers.
Oscar has three dining
rooms, so there's plenty of
room. The cocktails are su-
per! But try the prime rib
of beef. it's truly a gustatory
delight.
CURRY DISHES of all
kinds are prepared with skill
and presented with excellent

3130 Cass. A dinner will
probably include one of the
many a la carte curry dishes
that are made with chicken,
lamb, egg and beef. They
are usually ordered with
either white rice (pillaw —
a saffron rice cooked with
Eastern spices) or (parata
— a flat Indian bread that
can he torn apart with the
fingers) and is eaten with
soup or curry. The Mahara-
jah also prepares several
complete dinners for the ad-
venturous diner who would
like to taste a variety of
offerings.
Still a favorite at the
organ keyboard at the
Farm House in Hazel Park
is the versatile, popular
Fred Bayn e. Fred has
earned a loyal following
in this area with his rendi-
tions of some of the "old-
ies" as well as a sprink-
ling of the current hits.
NICK AND BOB MAS-
TERS continue to he your
likeable and congenial hosts
when you dine at their very
popular Livonia spot right
across the Livonia Mall on
Seven Mile Rd. The prime
ribs and steaks are out of
this world . . . along with a
varied continental menu that
is sure to meet discrimina-
tory tastes.
TFIE MASTERS boys al-
ways try to provide top-
notch entertainment, and
they haven't failed this time.
Now appearing is a fine
group that call themselves
"The Arrangement," and is
rapidly becoming a favorite,
at least the patrons think so.
You can catch them on Fri-
days and Saturdays.
BESS BONNIER JAZZ

imported wines are just
some of the beautiful and
interesting things that are
on hand.
BACK FOR HIS FIFTH
year is Bob Blakeney of
Blakeney's Ranch House,
one of the most popular
restaurants on Grand
River. Bob has carried on
the fine tradition in good
eating that had been es-
tablished by his grand-
father, Bill Blakeney. You
will remember Bill, who
for 30 years owner and op-
erated Blakeney's rest-
aurant out on Davidson
and Dexter. The prices are
reasonable and the res-
taurant is open from 6 a.m.
till midnight (seven days
a week).
A REAL BONUS is in
store for you P, hen you visit
the Oriental City on Green-
field in Oak Par k. The
carry-out service is truly ex-
cellent. It almost seems as
though they knew you were
coming.
LIM'S of Farmington is
selling its well-known egg
rolls fried rice, etc. at this
year's State Fair. Lim's is
located on Grand Riser be-
tween Nine Mile and Middle-

-
note
meet Louie Lim, whose
as a greeting host is widely
noted. Its booth at the State
Fair is located near the in-
ternational bandstand.
A T C 0 :110'S restaurant
and Pizzeria on Nine Mile
Rd. and Woodward in Fern-
dale, you can now have your
favorite cocktail, wine or
draft along with your meal.
George and Sicilia Grego
are the owners, and they
have worked hard through
the years to accommodate
the local patrons. C'omp's
can provide pizza, spaghetti
and other selected items
from the oven to make any
