Klein, distinguished Jewish scholar
and Canadian poet. died here Mon-
day night at age 64.
lie had introduced poetic tech-
niques and became known as a
leader in the "Montreal School of
Poets."
He was a leader in Jewish ranks
and was among the most noted
figures in Jewish cultural circles
He had won the Governor-Gener-
al's Medal in• 1949 for his achieve-
ment in poetry and the Edward
Bland Memorial Felowship in 1947
for a series of poems on French
Canada.

Dr. Kliger was well known in
Detroit for his work with children
suffering from allergies.

presented to his widow, of Mid-

Monmouth College here and a for-
mer mayor of Tarrytown, N.Y.,
died Monday at age 92. (lie was
the brother of Mrs. Harriet
Schwartz of Detroit and Denver.)
Mr. Lehman. a - graduate of
Yale, was an instructor in English
literature at Jewish Theological
Seminary and in biblical literature
at Yale before founding the High-
land Nature Camps in Maine in
1913.
