several charitable organizations in
the community, died Monday at
age 80.
Mrs. Korman. 25630 Southfield.
Southfield, was a member of Pio-
neer Women, Rnai David Syna-
gogue. Hebrew Benevolent Society
and Yeshivath Beth Yehudah.
Born in Russia, she lived in the
Detroit area 52 years.
Surviving are three sons, Harry,
Jack and George; a sister, Mrs.
Meyer (Anne) Lite of Los Angeles;
10 grandchildren and 11 great-
grandchildren.

Irving Steinmar, chairman of the
hoard of Lion Store, Inc. in Pon
tiac, retail family apparel store
since 1925. died July 14. He was
80.
A native of Russia, Mr. Mein
man, 30845 Running Stream, Far
mington, lived in the Detroit area
for 50 years, 45 of which were in
Pontiac. He was a former head o
the Pontiac Business Bureau, Pon-
tiac Kiwanis Club, Pontiac City
Club, and for many years headed
the United Jewish Appeal in Pon-
tiac.
He was a member and past pres-
ident of Temple Beth Jacob of
Pontiac , and a member of Knoll-
wood Country Club. During World
War II, he headed the USO in
Oakland County. Board member
for many years of the Salvation
Army, Mr. Steinman headed the
committee for aging in the Great-
er Pontiac area since 1969.
lie leaves his wife, Mae; a son,
Alvin: a daughter. Mrs. Marvin
(Beverly) Talan; and six grand-
children.

Morris Kushner, founder and
president of Kushner Engineering
Co. until 1959, died July 17. He
was 76.
Born in Russia, Mr. Kushner,
6665 Colby Ln., Birmingham, was
associated with the automotive
sheet metal industry iollowing his
departure from the Kushner En-
gineering Co. He was an inventor
and manufacturer of the Kush-
Spoon Fishing Lure and was a
member of Perfection Lodge of
the Masons.
Ile leaves his wife, Fannie:
three sons, Seymour, Victor, of
Sherman Oaks. Calif., and Shel-
don of Cincinnati; a daughter,
Mrs. Douglas (Jeanette) Mann;
four brothers. Edward, Samuel,
Aid and Benjamin; three sisters,
Mrs. Samuel (Lena) Levine, Mrs.
Arthur (Dorothy) Campbell and
Betty; and eight grandchildren.
