Aharon, Histadrut secretary-general; and Max Greenberg, president
of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, pledge co-
operation between U.S. and Israeli labor. The AFL-CIO leaders, on
a trip to Israel, announced efforts to provide $20,000,000 in invest-
ments for housing for Israeli newlyweds. The two top-ranking trade
unionists brought personal greetings from AFL-CIO President George
Meany. At a farewell party tendered by Ben-Aharon. Kirland pro-
mised to bring the Histadrut message to the millions of members
of the AFL-CIO, and recommended continued assistance in achiev-

Although these children can be
taught by skilled teachers using
special methods, there are far
more children than there are
school places.
Many parents in the past, after
being sent from one treatment
center to another, have been
forced to place these children in
institutions for the mentally sub-
normal. These children regress
in such hospitals where they do
not have the special attention
and teaching they need.
