Jewish Scholarship Service Gives Helping Hand to College-Bound Students

Jerome L. is a third-year student
at Wayne State University's medi-
cal school. His professors rate him
among the brightest in his class.
Although Jerome works hard at
a part-time job, and receives some
assistance from the university, he
needs an additional $1,400 to com-
plete his senior year.

father is ill and can contribute
only a tiny fraction of her tuition
and living costs. This, plus the
balance of her small savings, will
still leave her $1,500 short of the
funds she needs for school next
year.
Both students asked for, and
have just been granted, interest-
free loans from the Jewish Scholar-
ship Service to enable them to
continue their education. They
