Action Line

By BARBARA SINGAL
(Barbara is 13 and in 7th grade)
This past Friday, the 7th-10th
grade students, accompanied by
all of our Hebrew teachers and
science teacher, Mrs. Chaben,
visited the Cabo Hall science ex-
hibition. We viewed the numerous
winning projects, including those
of two of our 10th grade students,
Benny Micznik and David Donin.
Benny's project, which won first
place in its division and second
best over-all-winner at the District
Science Fair, was about the ITonal
Beam. David's project, which won
third place plus a special award in
its division, was about the ampli-
fier and its basics.
Benny, David, Mrs. Cha-
ben and principal Rabbi Werner.
representing the school, were to
, receive special awards at the
awards convocation at Cobo Hall
this week.
The other projects on exhibit
also were excellent. They were
about a variety of subjects, such
as the heart, the lung, the eye,
ecology, electronics and many
others.
There were some exhibits dis-
played by companies. The students
received many ideas for next
year's school science fair.
The trip was very interesting,
educational and enjoyable.
