ed chairman of the American. Sec-
tion of the WoOd Zionist Organiza-
tion at its first meeting Feb. 7,
since the conclusion of the 28th
World Zionist Congress in .Thrusa-
lem at which she was one of eight
Americans elected to the 20-mem-
herworld- executive: - —

Hadassah, she was installed here
in her new post by, Louis A. Pin-
cus, of Jerusalem, chairman of
the WZO executive.

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Missing I
from the newly elected WZO
Executive will be Sam Rothberg,
general chairman of the Israel
Bond Organization, who was a co-
opted member of the outgoing
executive. Rothberg left the Zion-
ist Congress to bring a group of
Westein hemisphere Bond leaders
to Israel from New York. When
he returned with them he learned
for the first time that he was not
included in the new executive and
expressed surprise. Louis Pincus
said that the World Confederation
of General , Zionists, which has
three seats On the executive, did
not propose Rothberg's name. Roth-
berg was elected to the board of
governors of the reconstituted Jew-
ish Agency last summer and will
continue to serve as a member of
it.

Israel Welcomes 300
Latin American Olim

HAIFA (JTA) — The port here
was the scene of welcoming cere-
monies when the Israeli passenger
ship Nili brought some 300 immi-
grants from Lati America who em-
barked at a European port. The
group included- 110 members of
the Masada youth organization in
Buenos Aires.
