HILLEL
HAPPENINGS
By ELIZABETH LICHT
7th Grade
Hillel is celebrating Hanuka this
year in a very special way. Besides
our annual activities of parties and
Hanuka gift shop, the student
council, with the help of all the
students, has been working very
hard on our Hanuka present to
Russian Jewry.
We Lave collected a great deal
of money in just a short period of
time. It means a lot to us to help
those who are trying to escape
to freedom.
It also seems fitting that during
this holiday season, we at Hillel
are celebrating the true spirit of
giving in supporting the cause of
Jewish survival.
