Alfred E. Klein, president of the
Flint Jewish Community Council,
announces the appointment of com-
mittee members and dates of sub-
committee meetings.
B. Morris Pelavin is general
chairman.
Entrusted with helping disburse
funds raised in the 1971 United
Jewish Appeal Campaign, the sub-
committees make their recom-
mendations to the board of gover-
nors for final approval on all al-
locations. The board of governors
will consider these recommenda-
tions Jan. 27.

the State Bar of Michigan examina-
tion and been admitted to the
state and local bar associations.
He has been working in the pro-
secutor's office and will now be-
come an assistant prosecutor. He

Miami Jews Declare
`Day of Jewish Survival'

MIAMI (JTA)—Three thousand
persons inside and outside the
Communitly Synagogue here de-
clared Dec. 2 to be a "Day of Jew-
ish Survival" and called on the
Nixon administration to help Is-
rael live by sending her more
Phantom jets.
With the endorsement of the
mayor's office, 4,500 petitions have
already been sent to the White
House by Miamians, according to
Rabbi Tibor H. Stern.
