New Concept in Aid
Started at Hebrew V.
JERUSALEM (JTA) — The first

course of a joint five-year project,
Outing which • the Hebrew Uni-
versity of Jerusalem will assist
the Haile Selassie I University in
Addis Ababa etablish a micro-
biology unit, recently finished with
the examination of 35 students.
. The program has been sue-
cessful, And it has been decided
to run two courses in the coming .
academic year with a total of 60
students, thus almost doubling
this year's figure.
This N venture represents a n ew
concept in implementation of sci-
entific - cooperation with develop-
ing countries.
Instead of involving individuals,
the program calls 'for cooperation
between entire institutions, which
allows for sending -many experts,
for effective--use `of -equipment
partly supplied by the Hebreiv
University, -and for a constant and
rapid flow of materials and know-
-
how..
