Junior Division Appointments Told
Joel Hauser to Take
Beth Jaslove as Bride
Under the auspices of the Junior Division of the Jewish Welfare
Federation, students from Stewart Elementary School visit the
Upland Hills Farm. This trip along with others to Belle Isle, Metro-
politan Airport and the zoo, is one of the weekly activities of the
summer tutorial program sponsored jointly by the Junior Division
and the Detroit Board of Education. In addition, the children meet
at Temple Israel twice weekly to receive help in remedial reading.
This is the sixth consecutive year the program has been in effect.
Chairman for this year is Sheila Glass, with Sally Jo Sorock and
Mrs. Robert Slatkin as advisers.

Investment Group Plans
to Build Jets in Israel
TEL AVIV, Aug. 1 (JTA)—A
group of investors headed by for-
mer Air Force commander Gen.
Ezer Weizman, plan to produce
an Israel version of the "Islander,"
a small British commercial jet
transport.
The group plans to manufacture
the plane at a plant at Carmiel
which is presently doing contract
work for Israel Aircraft Indus-
tries, Ltd., the country's largest
aviation firm. They are negoti-
ating with the British Norman
Corp. for a license agreement
and technical advisors. The "Is-
lander" is a twin-engined jet with
a capacity of eight. The' Israeli
version would be an enlarged
three-engine plane with a capa-
city of 18.

the batik process both in this
country and overseas. Although
she normally resides in West La-
