Histadrut Wins Pay Boost

JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israeli
wage earners will receive a 2 per
cent pay boost this year under a
recent draft agreement between
Histadrut, the trade union federa-
tion and the Israel Manufacturers
Association. The raise will be re-
troactive to the first of the year.
The agreement also calls for an
increased cost-of-living allowance
to be determined by a committee
on the basis of the consumer price
level of Jan. 16, 1971.
