JERUSALEM — Reuma Posen,
one of the 11 Russian immigrants
whose hunger strike at the Western
Wall triggered a world-wide pro-
test against the Leningrad trials
and the harsh treatment of Soviet
Jewry, gave birth_ this week to a
bonny, black-eyed boy in the
Hadassah-Hebrew University Medi-
cal Center.
While she was fasting at the
Wall, she was examined by Dr.
Isaac Camrass of Hadassah, who
ordered her to stop fasting because
it endangered her health and that
of the unborn child. He also di-
rected that she be taken by ambu-
lance to Hadassah.
Mrs. Posen, her husband, Mich-
ael, who is a film director, and her
six-year-old son, Mordehai, came
to Israel from the Soviet Union
six weeks ago. They obtained exit
permits after many years of striv-
ing to get such permission. When
