NEW YORK — The Women's
League for Israel claims the wear-
ing of izitsit has become fashion-
able, as a result of a new blouse
for boys designed at Orah, the
Nathanya Weaving Workshop for
the Blind, operated by the league.
Made from fabric woven entirely
in the sheltered workshop, the
blouses are being stitched by
young women in the sewing courses
of the Women's League for Israel
Vocational Training Center, which
includes many handicaped girls.
The "ritual fringes" as pre-
scribed by the Bible have been
given the sanction by Israel's chief
rabbi Isser Yehuda Untermann.
