Dr. Evans Will Address Sinai Annual
Meeting Nov. 23; to Honor Volunteers;
Important Amendment to Be Decided

Dr. Tommy N. Evans, acting
dean of the Wayne State University
School of Medicine, will be the
speaker at the 18th annual meeting
of Sinai Hospital. 8 p.m. Nov. 23,
in the hospital's Zuckerman Audi-
torium.

Dr. Evans, who assumed his pre-
sent position earlier this year, will
speak on "Medical Education in
Detroit."
Sinai has long had an affiliation
with Wayne's medical school and
presently has 14 Wayne graduates
serving internships.

Israel Short of Wheat
Because of '69 Drought

TEL AVIV (ZINS) — Expecta-
tions of a local wheat crop of 240,-
000 tons will not be realized this
year, according to an announce-
ment from Israel's ministry of ag-
riculture.
Although the wheat-growing area
was considerably enlarged, last
winter's drought had a serious ef-
fect on the crop, which produced
a harvest of only 120,000 tons.
To make up the shortage, Israel
will have to import wheat from
abroad.

ARTICLE II
Trustees

Section I. (at The management and administration of the affairs of the
Hospital, and the control of its property, shall be under the direction
of ■ Board of Trustees. The Board shall consist of forty elected mem-
bers, to be elected for the term and in the manner as hereinafter set
forth In Section 2 hereof; plus, as ex-officio members thereof, the in-
cumbent Presdlent and the incumbent Executive Vice President of the
Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit, the incumbent President of the
Women's Guild of Sinai Hospital, and the incumbent President of the
Shapero School of Nursing; plus one additional member for each mem.

Section 3. Vacancies in the membership of the Board of Trustees shall

majority of the members of the Board voting in person at a meeting of
the Board at which such election is held. Written notice of such elec-
tion to be held shall be mailed by regular U.S. mall to the entire Board
